Arsenal in for Mario Gomez

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is considering a move for VfB Stuttgart striker Mario Gomez. The talented forward has been in great form this year, and several of Europe's biggest sides are considering a move for the player.

Barcelona, Inter Milan and Chelsea have all reportedly shown some interest in the German forward, but Arsenal have made one of the first big enquiries for the player.

The German side value Gomez at more than £15 million, a figure Arsene Wenger is likely to be unhappy paying for the player.

At 22, Gomez has many years ahead of him at the top level, but a move away from the Bundesliga at this stage could be a big step too early for the talented youngster.
