Bournemouth will be adding strength to their squad during the January transfer window, as a fee has been agreed with LDU Quito to sign Oscar Zambrano. The midfielder, who has appeared 14 times for Ecuador's under-20 international side, is seen as the brightest prospect in his home country and will move to the Premier League outfit in a deal worth an estimated £14.9 million.

Comfortable playing as a defensive midfielder or as a central midfielder, the 19-year-old has tons of versatility and has experience in helping Quito domestically and in the continent's Copa Sudamericana tournament.

Many predict that Zambrano will soon play for Ecuador's full national side. Luton Town were amongst the teams that had their bid rejected, and Scottish club Hibernian had also hoped to secure a loan deal for the midfielder.

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has an eye for young talent and has personally checked in on the development of this emerging star.

It is understood that Zambrano will sign a four-year contract, which will be worth around £20,000 per week. He will also be Bournemouth's first transfer signing of the January window.
