Vermeeren to Man Utd this summer

Manchester United are lining up a summer move for Belgian wonderkid Arthur Vermeeren, according to Football Insider.

The Red Devils currently have Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo, Scott McTominay and Sofyan Amrabat as their defensive midfield options.

However, there could be some changes at the end of the campaign. Casemiro has been linked with a big-money move to Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Amrabat is unlikely to be signed permanently after his loan stint while there is always speculation that McTominay could leave.

Amidst this, it is reported that United are laying the groundwork to sign Vermeeren, who has made huge strides with Royal Antwerp.

The teenager starred for Antwerp in the Champions League with three goal contributions including a goal in the shock 3-2 win over Barcelona.

Aside from his goal involvements, he has also caught the eye with his tackling, duel winning ability and interest in winning regular duels.

Vermeeren can play in different midfield positions with ease and United seem determined to sign him. He could cost around €50 million.
