Man Utd favourites to sign Dutch striker this summer

Manchester United are considered as the favourites to land Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee during the summer.

The Dutchman has had a good campaign with the Italian top-flight, scoring eight goals and providing four assists.

His form has already caught the eye of the Red Devils, who have already spoken with Bologna over a possible transfer.

It is now reported that United are front-runners to land the marksman, but they would need to wait until the summer.

Bologna have no desire to part ways with their prized asset this winter as they want to push for a top-four league finish.

Zirkzee could, however, leave for Bayern Munich if they decide to trigger the €40m release clause in his contract.

Bologna are free to negotiate with the rest of the European teams and they are likely to hold out for at least €50m.

United are capable of paying the price in the summer. They could spend with the funds gained from TV revenue.
