Erik ten Hag wants Man Utd to sign another Ajax star?

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has urged the hierarchy to sign Ajax striker Brian Brobbey this winter, according to Florian Plettenberg.

The Red Devils have been one of the lowest scorers in the Premier League and this could urge the club to land a new centre-forward.

Brobbey is one of the targets for the manager and it is claimed that he would like to bring him to Old Trafford in the current transfer window.

However, a deal is unlikely to happen with Ajax making it clear that they won't consider any proposals for their striker this winter.

Meanwhile, United are not in a position to sign anyone permanently at the moment and any deal could be a loan with an option to buy.

It is unlikely that any club would want to lose their main striker in such an agreement. United may have to wait until the summer for a top signing.

They are also interested in Bologna's Joshua Zirkzee but he is likewise expected to stay at the Serie A outfit for the rest of the campaign.
