Arsenal unlikely to sign a new striker
Arsenal seem unlikely to sign a new striker before the transfer window closes on February 1.
The Gunners are currently third in the Premier League standings with 43 points, two behind leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand.
Despite their good season, there are doubts whether the club can challenge for the league title, considering their lack of cutting edge on occasions.
They recently went on a three-match losing streak in all competitions where they were guilty of squandering as many as seven big chances.
This has led to suggestions that the club could pursue a new striker this winter, but as things stand, there is no activity at the Gunners.
The club previously identified Ivan Toney as the top target, but he is unlikely to leave for anything less than £100 million for now.
Arsenal are unlikely to come close to such a fee due to FFP issues and are set to wait until the summer to spend big on a marquee striker.
