Chelsea midfielder suffers another injury setback
Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia has suffered another setback in his recovery from a thigh injury.
The Belgium international joined the Blues from Southampton for €55 million last summer and he was anticipated to play a huge role for them.
However, the midfielder has made just one competitive appearance so far and he may not be available to play again for some time.
Lavia suffered a thigh injury in his debut for the Blues. He was initially predicted to return to action by the middle of this month.
This has been ruled out by manager Mauricio Pochettino, who has said that it is impossible for him to return by the Carabao Cup final.
Lavia has picked up a recurrence of the same issue and he is not expected to return to team training until the third week of March.
Despite his injury absence, the Blues are well covered in midfield with the presence of Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Conor Gallagher.
