Barcelona planning shock move for Arsenal winger?

Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli has emerged as a shock target for Barcelona ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Blaugrana are keen on strengthening their wide attacking department this summer and have their eyes on a new left winger.

Joao Felix had a good start on loan from Atletico Madrid, but his performances have drastically faded in recent months.

Meanwhile, Ferran Torres is more of a right winger. The same is the case with the likes of Lamine Yamal as well as Raphinha.

As a result, the club are eyeing a new signing this summer and Mundo Deportivo claim that Martinelli is on their radar.

However, it is also reported that it would be difficult to persuade the Gunners as he is indispensable under Mikel Arteta.

Brighton's Kaoru Mitoma is the other option on their transfer wishlist, but Brighton are also expected to provide resistance to a summer exit.

The Seagulls only recently extended his contract until June 2027.
