Man Utd keen on signing 29-goal Primeira Liga striker
Manchester United are keen on signing Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres at the end of the campaign, according to Fichajes.
The Red Devils have had a mixed season in the top-flight and they recently suffered their 10th defeat of the league campaign at home.
Rasmus Hojlund was a huge miss due to a muscle injury. In his absence, the club lacked the presence of a potent goalscorer up front.
The club are likely to address the issue in the summer and it is claimed that they could swoop for the services of Gyokeres from Sporting.
The 25-year-old has been a revelation since his move to Sporting from Coventry City last summer, scoring 29 goals alongside 11 assists.
He currently has a release clause worth £85.5 million in his contract and United seem prepared to pay the sum during the summer.
The Red Devils are expected to face competition from the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal, who are also monitoring his progress closely.
