Liverpool move for Dossena

According to reports emanating from Italy, Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is preparing a summer move for Udinese's talented left-back Andrea Dossena. Coveted by many clubs in Serie A, it seems the Italian is ready to move to another league to improve his international hopes.

Roma and Fiorentina are both reportedly keen on landing Dossena, who may be allowed to leave Udine for a fee in the region of about £6 million.

John Arne Riise is believed to be looking to leave Liverpool in the summer, with Newcastle and Wigan both interested in the Norweigan left back.

If Riise leaves, Benitez is believed to have hinted that Dossena is his primary target and replacement.
