Jamie Carragher picks his favourite team to win PL

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has said that Manchester City are the team to beat in the race for the Premier League title.

The Cityzens were outclassed by the Reds at Anfield earlier today, but the game ended all square after goals from John Stones and Alexis Mac Allister.

Speaking after the 1-1 draw, Carragher said that City are still the team to beat. However, he is hopeful of seeing Arsenal win against City at the Etihad.

He said: "City are still the team to beat I would say. Even though Arsenal are top I would prefer to watch Arsenal win at Manchester City and certainly not a City win as City's last five-to-six games of the season you will expect them to get maximum points."

After today's stalemate, Arsenal are top of the table with a superior goal difference to Liverpool. City are just one point behind the top two.

It promises to be one of the most thrilling Premier League title races. If Arsenal were to beat City on the road, it would be a huge statement.

The Gunners fans will have to wait until the end of the month, considering there is an international break before the much-awaited game at the Etihad.
