Man Utd ready to hand bumper contract to midfielder
Manchester United are prepared to hand a bumper contract to midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, according to The Sun.
The United graduate had a brilliant pre-season with the Red Devils but got himself injured against Real Madrid.
As a result, he had to wait for a few months before his Premier League debut, but has since become a mainstay in the XI.
Mainoo signed a new deal worth £20,000-a-week in February last year, but he is now set to pen fresh terms at the club.
The Red Devils are ready to hand him a bumper deal worth £60,000-a-week amid his impressive development so far.
Mainoo has the ability to play in the number six and number eight roles, but his future could be as a central midfielder.
The board are already preparing to part ways with Casemiro to pursue a young holding midfielder like Joao Neves.
Neves has a huge release clause of €120m in his deal at Benfica, but the Portuguese side could be willing to negotiate.
