Arsenal planning swoop for Newcastle United striker?
Arsenal could make a surprise move for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak this summer, according to Football Insider.
The Gunners are expected to invest on a marquee striker at the end of the season, considering the struggles of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah.
They are currently looking at multiple options in the transfer market and it is now claimed that Isak could be a strong target too.
The Swede has been injury-prone at different stages of the campaign, but he has still netted 16 goals from 30 appearances for the Magpies.
In our view, he would be a perfect candidate to lead the line for the Gunners and they have been handed an advantage ahead of the summer.
Newcastle need a big-money departure to balance their books and this could pave the way for the transfer of Isak from the club.
Arsenal previously looked at the possibility of landing Isak during his time at Real Sociedad and could get a second chance this time.
