Man Utd ready to pay €60m to sign Brazilian star

Manchester United are ready to pay €60m to sign Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer this summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Red Devils are expected to strengthen their central defensive options in the summer and they have identified Bremer as the top target.

Talks have already been held with his representatives and it is now reported that the club are prepared to trigger his €60m release clause.

As things stand, the Red Devils are reliant on Champions League qualification. If they miss out, they may not afford the fee up front.

In that case, they could propose a part-exchange deal involving Mason Greenwood. The Bianconeri are huge admirers of the attacker.

The Serie A giants were one of those interested in signing him on loan last summer and could accept him as a makeweight to sell Bremer.

Bremer could be seen as a replacement for Raphael Varane at United. The Frenchman's deal expires at the end of the current season.
