Arsenal ready to offer players in exchange for £85m star

Arsenal are ready to offer multiple players to sign Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres this summer.

The Swede has been in sensational form for the Portuguese giants with 36 goals and 16 assists this term.

He is widely anticipated to leave in the summer and reports claim that Arsenal are front-runners to sign him.

The Gunners are aware of the player's £86m release clause, but they plan to lower the fee with makeweights.

The club are prepared to offer multiple players on their bench to persuade Sporting to accept a reduced fee.

Gyokeres has also been linked with the likes of Chelsea but he is highly unlikely to join them this summer.

The 25-year-old has the ambition to play in the Champions League which Chelsea won't be able to offer him.

Elsewhere, Eddie Nketiah is one of the candidates that could make way with Gyokeres' arrival at Arsenal.

He has been a regular on the bench for most of the campaign and looks likely to pursue a fresh challenge.
