Ange Postecoglou praises Spurs defender after Arsenal defeat
Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou heaped praise on Cristian Romero following his goal in the north London derby.
Spurs had a poor first half against Arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and they were trailing by a 3-0 scoreline at the interval.
However, they managed to find a way back into the game. Romero capitalised on a blunder from David Raya to reduce the deficit.
Son Heung-min made it 2-3 for Spurs from the penalty spot and they nearly found the equaliser in the closing stages of the game.
Speaking after the result, Postecoglou was clearly impressed by Romero and said that he was outstanding in the second half.
He said: "He was outstanding. He's a World Cup winner and I just need to get some of what's in him into some of the others."
The result against the Gunners has left Spurs behind in the top-four race.
They are now seven points adrift of fourth-placed Aston Villa with two games in hand.
