Mikel Arteta praises sensational Arsenal star after Spurs win

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta heaped praise on Kai Havertz following his stand-out showing against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
The Gunners continued their title charge with a 3-2 win over Spurs on the road. They had a comfortable 3-0 lead in the opening half of the derby, but let the hosts back in with two needless mistakes.
David Raya gifted Cristian Romero with a goal with a howler before Son Heung-min converted from the penalty spot after a poor foul given by midfielder Declan Rice.
Arsenal had to dig deep for the victory, but they managed to hang on in the end. Havertz was one of the stand-out performers with a goal and an assist and speaking after the game, Arteta said:
"He was sensational in every department today. He wasn’t 100 per cent today, he was ill before the match and was struggling a bit but he still put in the performance that he put in. I thought he was unbelievable today."
The Germany international received some criticism from fans when he arrived from Chelsea last summer, but he has transformed into one of the club's best performers.
He has been one of the most in-form players during the back end of the campaign and has registered eight goals and four assists from his previous 11 league games.
