Man Utd midfielder confirms knee injury blow

Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has revealed that he suffered a hyperextension of his knee during the 1-1 Premier League draw against Burnley at Old Trafford.
The Scotland international was recently out of action with a similar injury against Chelsea. He made his comeback within a short space of time, but suffered a recurrence last weekend.
It was initially predicted that he may have suffered a serious knee injury, but McTominay has now clarified on Instagram that he could be back in action before the end of the campaign.
The news is a huge boost particularly for Scotland. They are back in the European Championship after a lengthy wait and McTominay remains one of their most valuable performers.
McTominay has been a constant scorer of goals for Scotland over the past 18 months and he will be key to his country progressing beyond the group stage of the competition this summer.
United will be in Premier League action against Crystal Palace next Monday. McTominay is highly unlikely to be involved in the matchday squad.
