Man Utd midfielder could miss rest of the season with fresh injury
Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay could miss the rest of the season after picking up a knee injury against Burnley on Saturday.
The Scotland international recently recovered from a knee problem, and he was a second half substitute against the Clarets at Old Trafford.
However, he suffered a fresh setback after a robust challenge in the box and things are now looking bad for him ahead of the end of the season.
He is expected to undergo medical assessment tomorrow and the early reports suggest that he could be ruled out for the remainder of the campaign.
The major concern for him, however, could be the European Championship in Germany. He would be a huge miss for Scotland at the tournament.
With McTominay injured, United may have to continue with Casemiro at the heart of the defence alongside Harry Maguire in the coming games.
The Brazilian has operated in the makeshift role with Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans and Willy Kambwala injured.
