Ipswich Town eyeing surprise deal for Arsenal striker

Eddie Nketiah news

Nketiah to Ipswich Town?

Ipswich Town are eyeing a surprise deal for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah following their promotion to the Premier League.

The Tractor Boys are back in the big time after a 22-year gap and they are likely to be ambitious in the summer transfer market.

A new centre-forward is one of their top priorities and it is claimed that Nketiah is currently topping their summer wishlist.

Nketiah had a good start to the campaign with the Gunners. He scored his maiden club hat-trick in the victory over Sheffield United.

However, he has since struggled for form and consistency and is currently a fringe player. Nketiah has not started since the New Year.

Ipswich are still said to be interested in signing him due to his potential and they could be prepared to pay around £30m for a transfer.

Arsenal are more than open to parting ways with Nketiah as they look to sign a marquee striker ahead of the 2024/25 season.
