Arsenal still pushing to sign Ajax wonderkid
Arsenal remain interested in signing Ajax wonderkid Jorrel Hato during the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Gunners are expected to be busy during the summer and they are likely to make multiple signings to make the squad even better.
Hato is one of the prime targets for them and Romano claims that the club are optimistic of signing him despite his contract extension.
The teenager recently penned a new contract until June 2028, but this has not deterred the Gunners' pursuit of the versatile wonderkid.
Hato is a central defender by trade, but can also operate from left-back.
He has impressed with his ball-playing ability, tackling and knack for winning duels. He has all the hallmarks to become a world-class star.
If Ajax were to sell him this summer, he won't come on the cheap. The Dutch giants could demand well over €50m for his services.
Hato has previously said that he would like to follow the path of Jurrien Timber to Arsenal. He is apparently a keen admirer of the club.
