Arsenal favourites to sign Dutch striker ahead of Milan

Arsenal have emerged as favourites to sign Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee ahead of AC Milan this summer.

The 22-year-old has had a good second season with the Serie A outfit, registering 12 goals and seven assists.

His form has caught the eye of several European clubs and Arsenal are one of those considering a summer proposal.

Givemesport now claim that Bologna are looking for at least £60m following their Champions League qualification.

Milan have been interested in signing him for a while but they are unlikely to meet the financial demands of Bologna.

This has handed a big boost to the Gunners, who appear prepared to make a huge outlay on a new centre-forward.

Zirkzee has yet to find consistency in front of goal, but he reportedly suits the playing style of manager Mikel Arteta.

The Dutchman operates in a similar way as Kai Havertz. He possesses better dribbling skills than the German ace.

Manchester United are also admirers of the ex-Bayern man, but they are unlikely to pay the price amid their financial issues.
