Aaron Ramsdale makes PL transfer decision
Aaron Ramsdale makes PL transfer decision
Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has no desire to join a Premier League rival during the summer transfer window.
The Englishman had a tough 2023/24 season with the Gunners. He made only 11 appearances in all competitions for them.
Ramsdale played second fiddle to David Raya who joined on loan from Brentford. He will sign a permanent deal this summer.
This has led to speculation that Ramsdale could move on. Newcastle United have been linked, but the 26-year-old has other plans in mind.
Ramsdale does not wish to join another Premier League rival and would most likely prefer a move abroad in the coming weeks.
The former Sheffield United man wants his future sorted before pre-season. The Gunners may also prefer the same kind of solution.
The north London giants are already in the hunt for a successor. They have contacted the agents of Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow.
Bijlow is a ball-playing goalkeeper with similar strengths as Raya. He could be signed for a fee in the region of £10 million this summer.
