Man Utd ready to launch move for French midfielder

Manchester United are ready to make a formal move to sign Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana in the near future.

The Red Devils are eyeing a new defensive midfielder this summer with Casemiro expected to make the move to Saudi Arabia.

Fofana has been on their radar for the past few weeks and Le 10 Sport claim that United are preparing to make an official bid.

The 25-year-old has been one of the best defensive midfielders in Ligue 1, and he has made the decision to leave Monaco this summer.

With his contract expiring in June next year, the Principality outfit are prepared to sell him for a cut-price deal of £26 million.

Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in the former Strasbourg man, but he is not a priority for the north London giants.

United seem in pole position to land his signature and they have the chance to secure an agreement before others clubs join the race.
