Bundesliga star on the verge of joining Man Utd

Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt is reportedly on the verge of joining Manchester United.

The Netherlands international has already agreed terms with the Red Devils and he is now on the cusp of joining them.

Sport Bild claim that talks are at an advanced stage between the clubs and a deal worth £42m could be finalised pretty soon.

Bayern are also eagerly waiting for the transfer to materialise such that they can focus on landing Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen.

The German star has already given the green light to join the Munich giants and Bayern plan to spend around £21m on his services.

De Ligt may not be the only centre-back signing for the Red Devils. They are exploring the option of landing another young player for the role.

Lille's Leny Yoro and Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite are among the top choices, but they are not close to landing either player at the moment.
