West Ham looking to sign Kante
The Hammers struggled defensively last year and are rumoured to be open to selling Tomas Soucek this summer, with the club so far unhappy with the form of Edson Alvarez, the Mexican midfielder that arrived at the London Stadium last campaign.
West Ham have made a shock move to sign France international N'Golo Kante from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad, with the Middle Eastern club unwilling to sell the ex-Chelsea player at this time. However, the Hammers are confident that a deal can be reached as the player has expressed interest in a return to the Premier League.
Kante is said to be open to a move back to England. The Frenchman had helped both Chelsea and Leicester City to league title success and showed exactly why he is still one of Europe's best midfielders with impressive performances during Euro 2024.
However, West Ham signing Kante could come at enormous expense to the club. It is understood that Al-Ittihad do not want to sell, and value the player at around $20 million, even though the player is 33-years-old.
