Garay To Stay On Loan With Racing
Racing Santander have managed to convince Real Madrid to let them keep centre-back Ezequiel Garay at the club for next season on loan.
Earlier this week a deal was brokered between La Liga champions Real Madrid and Racing Santander for the highly rated 21-year old Argentine international centre-back and a transfer fee of â¬10 million, that is to rise to â¬11 million depending on appearances, was agreed upon.
But it has now been confirmed that Garay shall stay on loan with Racing Santander for one more season as Racing play in the UEFA Cup next season. It will be the first time ever that the modest club from Santander shall feature in Europe and Garay staying on at El Sardinero could prove beneficial for the club.
Racing coach Marcelinho Garcia is also set to leave the club, possibly for Valencia, this summer but now that Ezequiel Garay is staying on at Racing, he might just be persuaded to stay on at the Madrigal for one more season and see Racing through their first ever European adventure.
