Bournemouth complete Dean Huijsen transfer

Dean Huijsen to move to Cherries

Bournemouth have pulled off a major coup in signing 6 foot 5 centre-back Dean Huijsen from Juventus this summer, in a deal worth up to 20 million euros. The Dutchman, who moved to Juventus from Malaga in 2021, is only 19-years-old but is already considered one of the best young defenders in Europe. Huijsen represented the Netherlands' under-19 side, but recently switched allegiance to Spain and has played for the under-21 team.

The player spent last season on loan at Serie A side Roma, and the Italian club were amongst potential suitors. Bournemouth will bring in Huijsen to link up with a host of new names, including Luis Sinisterra, Daniel Jebbisen and Enes Unal. The Cherries have been highly active in the transfer market so far this summer.

It is understood that Andoni Iraola made Huijsen one of his top transfer targets for the current window, and is thrilled to have completed a deal for the youngster.

The player will undergo a medical on Monday morning with the Premier League side.
