Premier League club end interest in signing Arsenal striker
Bournemouth have ended their interest in signing Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah this summer.
The Cherries recently made contact with the Gunners for the 25-year-old, but they have opted to sign Evanilson from Porto instead.
A deal worth €47m was agreed with the Portuguese outfit earlier today and the Brazilian has already travelled for his medical.
The news is a potential setback for the Gunners, who are actively looking to part ways with Nketiah before the transfer deadline.
Arsenal need to offload their graduate to free up space and wages for the signing of midfielder Mikel Merino, as per The Athletic.
The Gunners are in advanced talks with Real Sociedad for the Spaniard, but a transfer is dependent on a significant sale this month.
Nketiah could still leave the north London club in the coming days. Fulham and Crystal Palace are said to be interested in him too.
Arsenal are eyeing at least £25m to part ways with Nketiah.
