Arsenal confirm new three-year contract for Mikel Arteta
Arsenal have confirmed that manager Mikel Arteta has put pen-to-paper on a new three-year contract.
The Spaniard has played a big role in the club's transformation over the past five years. The Gunners are now regular contenders for the Premier League title while playing in the Champions League.
It was already known that Arteta would commit his future to the club and an official statement regarding the same has been made. The 42-year-old will now stay at the club until the summer of 2027.
He was on £9 million per year and reports claim that his new contract will bump his salary to £15 million per season. Arteta will now be aiming to guide the club to silverware success this term.
Despite the huge progress made, the Gunners have not won any major trophy since the 2020 FA Cup. Hopefully, the club can put an end to that streak with another silverware pretty soon.
Arsenal will be in Premier League action at Tottenham this weekend.
