Mikel Merino makes Arsenal squad vs PSG
Spanish midfielder Mikel Merino has been named in Arsenal's squad for the Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain tonight.
The 28-year-old joined the Gunners from Real Sociedad last month, but he could not make his debut after picking up a shoulder fracture in training.
His recovery has taken an extended period, but he could make his Gunners debut tonight, having been named in the matchday squad.
Merino trained with the Gunners earlier in the week, but manager Mikel Arteta has decided to stick with the same starting XI from Saturday.
Thomas Partey has got the nod in the number six role, but we won't be surprised if Merino replaces him in the position in future.
Arsenal played out a 1-1 draw against Atalanta in their Champions League opener and they need to pick up a victory against Les Parisiens.
Mikel Arteta's side go into the game in decent form. They secured an impressive 4-2 victory over Leicester City at the weekend.
