Chelsea duo suspended for PL game at Liverpool
Chelsea duo Marc Cucurella and Wesley Fofana will be suspended for the Premier League game at Liverpool after the international break.
The Blues played out a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest earlier today. They were unable to find the winner despite a man advantage for 26 minutes.
Meanwhile, the club suffered a further setback with Cucurella and Fofana picking up their fifth yellow cards of the top-flight campaign.
As a result, the duo will be suspended when the Blues travel to Anfield to face league leaders Liverpool following the internationals.
Chelsea have exceeded expectations in the early part of the season and they have picked up 14 points from the opening seven games.
The club are presently fourth in the league standings, but they still have plenty to prove with a tougher schedule in the coming weeks.
Noni Madueke and Levi Colwill picked up knocks against Forest earlier today, but Maresca has revealed that the pair should be fine.
