William Saliba breaks silence after Newcastle loss
Arsenal defender William Saliba has sent a message to the fans following the 1-0 Premier League defeat to Newcastle United on the road.
The Gunners suffered their second loss of the campaign against the Magpies away from home. Alexander Isak scored the winner for the hosts.
Speaking after the game, Saliba said that the Gunners did not deserve a win against the Magpies, but have to do better in the forthcoming games.
He said: "I do not think we deserved to win today. They had one chance and they scored. We were on top trying to equalise but I think we have to do better."
With the defeat, Arsenal have dropped to fourth in the league table and most importantly, they are now seven points behind leaders Liverpool.
They have another tough outing against Chelsea on the road next weekend, but prior to that, they face Inter Milan in the Champions League in midweek.
Arsenal fans will be hoping for positive results before the internationals.
