Mikel Arteta responds to Alexander Isak transfer question
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that he would not swap a Gunners player for anyone else following the Premier League loss at Newcastle United.
The Gunners suffered their second loss of the campaign against the Magpies on the road. Alexander Isak grabbed the headlines with a strong headed goal.
Speaking after the game, Arteta was asked a question on Isak, but he sent a blunt message, saying: "I love my players, and I wouldn't swap them for anybody else."
The Gunners are known to be interested in Isak for some period of time. They considered him as an option last summer, but Newcastle had no plans to sell him.
Isak has since refused to commit his future to the Magpies with a new deal and he could be available for a huge transfer fee at the end of the campaign.
Arsenal could be one of the leading contenders to land his signature, having followed his progress from his formative years with Real Sociedad.
