Ronaldo's still uncertain

Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo has refused to make any straightforward comment on his future at Old Trafford even after Man United won the UEFA Champions League final against Chelsea 6-5 on penalties on Wednesday night.

Ronaldo's future has been cloacked in a robe of uncertainty throughout the season. Spanish and European giants Real Madrid have been continuously banging on the Man United doors for Ronaldo and the player himself has been playing hide-and-seek at times.

On certain occasions the 23-year old Portuguese international is quoted as saying that he is happy at Old Trafford and on other occasions he subtly throws in the fact that he wants to play in Spain some day.

Such contrdictory comments have consistently sustained the cloud of doubt dangling over the player's future at Man United. Before their final game of the season against Chelsea in Mocow in the Champions League on Wednesday, Ronaldo said that he would decide his future only after the final.

But now that Man United have played the final and won it too, Cristiano Ronaldo has still maintained doubts on his future. This is what he had to say after the match on whether he is staying at Manchester or leaving this summer:

"I don't promise nothing, I don't promise nothing to my mum, I don't promise nothing to the supporters. I want to stay, but the future ... no one knows. I want to stay. We are going to see in the next two weeks, I don't say I make a decision."

Man United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has consistently denied that Ronaldo is up for sale and so has the club's chief executive David Gill. But the suspicions linger on.
