Enzo Maresca has three replacements for injured Chelsea star
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has said that he has three quality replacements for the injured Wesley Fofana.
The Blues picked up a 3-0 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League last weekend. Fofana started the game, but was substituted in the second half with a hamstring injury.
The Frenchman is now expected to be sidelined for several weeks and when asked about who could provide cover, Maresca said:
"Depends on the game plan. Benoit [Badiashile] could be an option but we have Tosin, Axel [Disasi], different players that can play there."
"For sure it's a big loss. Wes has been fantastic every game. We have to find a solution."
Benoit Badiashile replaced Fofana against the Villans, but Maresca could prefer a right-footed option alongside Levi Colwill in future.
In that case, Tosin Adarabioyo or Axel Disasi could get the nod. The former seems ahead in the pecking order at the current point of time.
Chelsea are equal on points with Arsenal in second with the same goal difference. A huge win at Southampton could see them claim the spot.
