Arsenal still want to sign Swedish star, not Gyokeres

Arsenal remain interested in signing Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak despite the regular links with Sporting CP star Viktor Gyokeres.
The Gunners were tipped to a new marksman last summer, but they were unable to find a suitable target. Isak was not for sale from the Magpies.
Arsenal continue to monitor his situation closely and they could make a genuine effort to secure his services at the end of the campaign.
Isak has been reluctant to pen a new long-term contract with the Tyneside outfit, but his current deal does not expire until the summer of 2028.
Newcastle are in a strong position to negotiate with the Gunners and Mikel Arteta's side will need to pay more than £100m for his signature.
Arsenal are more than capable of paying such a huge amount, having done so to prise away Declan Rice from West Ham United last year.
Rice has been brilliant in the centre of the park for the London giants and Isak would be an upgrade on Kai Havertz as the main striker.
