Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Southampton, Nkunku starts
Chelsea will be aiming for a third-straight Premier League win when they face Southampton at St Mary's tonight.
The Blues are equal on points with second-placed Arsenal with a similar goal difference. They have a brilliant chance to claim the position with a big win away from home.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Predicted Line-up:
Robert Sanchez has been an undisputed starter in goal for the Premier League games and he is expected to continue between the sticks.
However, there will be an enforced change in central defence with Wesley Fofana sidelined with a hamstring injury. Tosin Adarabioyo is likely to get the nod alongside Levi Colwill.
Malo Gusto and Marc Cucurella should start in the right and left-back positions. In midfield, Moises Caicedo could get another breather before the important derby at Tottenham Hotspur.
Romeo Lavia could continue in the starting XI alongside Enzo Fernandez. Elsewhere, Cole Palmer should be an assured starter in the number 10 position for the west London giants.
Noni Madueke provided his first assist of the campaign coming off the bench and he should start on the right wing. Mykhailo Mudryk could be preferred over Jadon Sancho on the left amid his good European form.
Nicolas Jackson is just one yellow card away from an automatic suspension. Manager Enzo Maresca could handle him with extra caution. We could see Christopher Nkunku leading the line tonight.
Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Southampton: Sanchez; Gusto, Adarabioyo, Colwill, Cucurella; Lavia, Fernandez; Madueke, Palmer, Mudryk; Nkunku.
