Mikel Arteta confirms huge Arsenal injury boost for Everton game
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Gabriel Magalhaes has trained with the squad ahead of the Premier League clash against Everton on Saturday.
The Brazil international has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury, but he is expected to be in contention for tomorrow's game at the Emirates Stadium.
Speaking in his pre-match presser, Arteta confirmed that Gabriel is more likely to return against the Toffees than Riccardo Calafiori, who is still nursing a groin issue.
He said: "There is a possibility with one of them to be available. He trained today. It’s Gabriel."
Arsenal are presently six points behind league leaders Liverpool, but the Reds have a game in hand against Everton away from home.
Hence, the Gunners have no room for error in the coming months if they want to keep up and close the deficit to the Reds at the top.
Gabriel should be reinstated into the starting XI tomorrow. He is likely to replace Jakub Kiwior, who has fared decently in recent games.
