'Unbelievable': Jamie Carragher blown away by Liverpool star after Spurs rout

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher hailed the performance of Mohamed Salah following the 6-3 Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur away from home.

The Merseyside giants went four points clear at the top of the league after a resounding display against Spurs. Salah was undoubtedly the best player on the pitch with two goals and two assists to his name.

Speaking after the game, Carragher said that the Egypt international was unbelievable and he is one of the top five players to have ever played for the Reds.

He said: "Unbelievable. He is a phenomenon. He is probably in the top five players to have ever played for Liverpool football club."

Salah has managed 26 goal contributions in the English top-flight this campaign which is more than any other player in Europe's top-five leagues.

He is currently in the form of his life and the Reds will be desperate to extend his contract that expires at the end of the current campaign.

Talks are already underway with the representatives of the attacker and it remains to be seen whether they can make a breakthrough soon.
