Arsenal identify two striker targets ahead of January

Arsenal have an interest in Newcastle United's Alexander Isak and Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres ahead of the January transfer window.
The Gunners have had a disappointing season in the Premier League and they are currently nine points behind Liverpool for the top spot.
The club need to spend big on a marquee striker in January and Daily Mail claim that Isak and Gyokeres are on their transfer radar.
However, a deal looks unlikely for either player. Newcastle have no plans to part ways with Isak as they aim for Champions League football.
Sporting share the same ambition and Gyokeres can only be signed if his €100m release clause is triggered in full next month.
With concerns over PSR spending limits, Arsenal are wary of paying hefty sums. They prefer to negotiate long-term payment plans instead.
Hence, it is highly unlikely that the Gunners will manage to recruit a marquee marksman in the upcoming winter transfer window.
