Arsenal planning shock move for Victor Osimhen
Arsenal are planning a shock move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, according to Football Insider.
The Gunners stumbled at the hands of Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday. They were cruising with a 2-0 lead, but surrendered the advantage in the end.
Speaking after the game, manager Mikel Arteta acknowledged the need for reinforcement in the final third and reports claim that they are eyeing a deal for Osimhen.
The Nigerian star has been in fantastic form for Galatasaray on loan this campaign. He has bagged 14 goals and six assists in all competitions for the Turkish side.
There is a break clause in his contract to return to Napoli and Arsenal are now exploring the prospect of bringing him to the Emirates over the next fortnight.
Arsenal could propose a loan deal for the former Lille striker with an option to buy at the end of the ongoing campaign.
Osimhen could be tempted to move to the Premier League, having missed out on the chance with Chelsea last summer.
