Arsenal hold talks with RB Leipzig to sign Benjamin Sesko
Arsenal have held talks with RB Leipzig over the potential transfer of Benjamin Sesko this winter, according to Ben Jacobs.
The Slovenia international has been the Gunners' top target for the centre-forward role and they are determined to sign him.
With Gabriel Jesus out with a serious knee injury, the London giants are focused on landing his signature before the deadline.
Talks are underway between the clubs and it is added that manager Mikel Arteta has personally spoken with the striker as well.
There is no release clause in Sesko's contract, but Ben Jacobs claim that the Gunners can land his signature for above £65 million.
Arsenal are obviously reluctant to spend big amid PSR concerns, but they may have to invest this winter to keep up in the title race.
Sesko would have no problem in negotiating terms with Arsenal, provided they receive the green light from Leipzig for his sale.
The young striker has 13 goals and three assists from 25 games this term.
