Man Utd planning shock move for Barcelona star?

Manchester United are reportedly considering a shock move for Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen this winter.

The Red Devils strengthened their defence with the signings of Noussair Mazraoui, Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt last summer.

Despite this, they are still in the market for more defensive reinforcement.

Lecce's Patrick Dorgu is a top target for manager Ruben Amorim while Christensen has now emerged as a potential option too.

The former Chelsea man has returned to training after an Achilles injury and United seem prepared to bring him back to England.

However, the Dane is not keen on heading for the exit door. He could stay at Barcelona until the summer before choosing a new challenge.

Aston Villa have also been linked with the versatile defender, who can play as a central defender, right-back or in defensive midfield.

The duo may have to wait until the summer to land his services from the Blaugrana unless Christensen changes his stance in the coming days.
