Arsenal leading the race to sign Norwegian wonderkid
Arsenal are leading the race to sign Norwegian wonderkid Sverre Nypan from Rosenborg, according to VG Sporten.
The Gunners have not made any signings in the current transfer window, but they are expected to be busy before the deadline.
A new attacker is one of the top priorities for the club and reports claim that they are determined to land 18-year-old Nypan.
Nypan was spotted at the Etihad Stadium yesterday, but it is reported that Pep Guardiola has no desire of landing his signature.
The Gunners are clearly favourites to secure his services and an agreement could be reached between the clubs in the near future.
Rosenborg are eyeing around £10 million for the talented playmaker, who has managed 18 goal contributions this campaign.
Nypan has already spoken with Arsenal captain and compatriot Martin Odegaard. A deal could only be a matter of time.
Arsenal are likely to pursue at least another signing after Nypan. They are exploring the market for a new centre-forward.
