Tottenham eyeing surprise swoop for Brentford star?
Tottenham Hotspur could make a surprise swoop for Brentford striker Yoanne Wissa before the transfer window closes, according to Foot Mercato.
The north London giants are determined to bolster their striking department this winter following a knee injury sustained by Dominic Solanke.
The Englishman is out for around five weeks. Spurs have an agreement with Bayern for Mathys Tel, but the youngster has yet to be convinced.
Tel is waiting for offers from Arsenal or Manchester United. He could give priority to the Premier League duo instead of joining Tottenham.
Amidst this, Spurs are weighing up a late move for Wissa, who has netted 11 goals from 19 appearances in the Premier League this campaign.
Nottingham Forest made an offer worth £22m for the striker earlier this winter, but their proposal was instantly rejected by the Bees.
Bees manager Thomas Frank is adamant that the striker won't be leaving and Spurs may need to make a significant bid to seal a deal.
