Man Utd suffer massive injury blow, star out for six months
Manchester United have suffered a massive injury blow with Lisandro Martinez set to be sidelined for six months, according to TyC Sports.
The Argentine is one of the undisputed starters for the Red Devils, but his season is over following a serious knee injury against Crystal Palace.
Martinez was in tears after leaving on a stretcher and reports have confirmed that he will be out of action for around six to nine months as a result.
Despite his setback, United have decided against entering the transfer market for a replacement before the window closes at 11pm on Monday night.
Luke Shaw is about to return from injury. The Englishman could play on the left side of the back three for the Red Devils in the coming months.
United also have the services of teenager Ayden Heaven, who signed from Arsenal recently. The left-footed ace is considered as a first-team signing.
The Red Devils will be in FA Cup action against Leicester City on Friday.
