Chelsea want to sign Barcelona star instead of Huijsen?

Chelsea are keen on signing Barcelona defender Jules Kounde during the summer transfer window, according to Sport.

The Blues are expected to pursue a new centre-back this summer and they have already been linked with plenty of names.

Bournemouth's Dean Huijsen was mentioned as a top target earlier this year, but Sport cite that Kounde is the priority target.

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to go 'all-out' to sign the Frenchman, who could leave for the right price before next season.

Kounde previously turned down the Blues for Barcelona, but the club remain interested and are prepared to make a fresh approach.

The arrival of a new central defender could pave the way for multiple exits.

Axel Disasi has been deemed surplus to requirements. He could be sold after his short-term loan deal with Aston Villa.

There is a possibility that Tosin Adarabioyo could also depart. The former Fulham man is on the radar of several English clubs.
