Mohamed Salah to sign new Liverpool contract
Mo Salah will reject the advances of Saudi Arabia and will instead stay with Liverpool, after rumours yesterday suggested the Egyptian winger will put pen to paper on a new contract at Liverpool.
Mohamed Salah's current contract with Liverpool is set to expire on June 30, 2025. Recent reports indicate that he is close to signing a new two-year extension, which would keep him at the club until 2027. Negotiations have progressed favorably, and both Salah and Liverpool are optimistic about finalizing the deal soon. Salah has expressed his commitment to the club, and despite interest from other teams, he appears inclined to continue his tenure at Anfield.
It is understood that yesterday, Salah agreed to terms verbally and will sign a deal as soon as next month, suggesting his long-term future will be with the club that he looks set to win the Premier League title with for a second time.
There had been persistent rumours that the player would end up playing in Saudi Arabia, earning close to $1 million a week, but Salah has said he is more motivated by success than money and will stay put at his current club for at least two more years.
