Man Utd to hijack Arsenal deal for 23yo Spaniard?

Manchester United could beat Arsenal to the signing of Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia this summer, according to Cadena COPE.

The Red Devils have had a poor Premier League campaign and they are presently 14th in the table with just 38 points on the board.

The club could make several additions to the squad in the summer and reports claim that a new goalkeeper could be one of the main targets.

Andre Onana has been unconvincing between the sticks this campaign and he could be permitted to move to the Saudi Pro League.

Onana has been on the radar of Saudi clubs over the last six months and the shot-stopper could be open to securing a bigger payday.

Amidst this, United have made contact with Garcia, who has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in Spanish football.

Arsenal want the 23-year-old as a back-up goalkeeper behind David Raya, but United could lure the Spaniard with a guaranteed starting spot.
